An I.T. Professional by day and a wildlife/nature photographer by...very early day (who wants to wake up at 5AM to go find some wildlife?). Growing up in the rural town of Ephrata in South-Eastern PA, I've had the opportunity to learn about a host of wildlife. As a young man, growing up hunting as well as being an Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, I have learned to appreciate and enjoy the outdoors. After college as I began to pursue my professional career in Information Technology, I realized that I needed to find some sort of creative outlet (as well as an excuse to be outside). This led me to photography, something that I had already had a budding interest in throughout college.
Starting with my first DSLR, the Canon 60D and the original Canon 100-400mm lens, I set out throughout the area around my new home...the not-so-rural Fairfax County, VA. Surprisingly enough, I found plenty of wildlife...even getting one of my most memorable shots within the first few weeks of playing around with my new photography gear, a fox hanging out with a whitetail buck. After seeing this incredible scene, I knew I had to pursue this as a serious hobby! Now here I am, years later with a portfolio of a few hundred images.
I can't wait to see what the future holds and hope to continue growing as a photographer...and seeing what amazing things the great outdoors has to offer. I hope you enjoy viewing my shots as much as I've enjoyed taking them!
